Sager NP8690, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop that features the Intel Core i7 Mobile processor, is launched!

The Intel “Callpela”-based system, Sager NP8690, includes the Intel Core i7-720QM, i7-820QM, or i7-920XM CPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 1,333MHz memory, up to 500GB of HDD, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive as option.

Display resolutions are 1920×1080- and 1600×900-pixel screens, both with LED backlight.

The 7,4-pound Sager NP8690 laptop also sports stereo speakers and microphone, a 2MP webcam, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, a Gigabit LAN port, a 56k modem, HDMI and DVI outputs, four USB ports, an eSATA port, Firewire, an ExpressCard slot, a 7-in-1 media card reader, and a fingerprint reader.

It can be pre-ordered now for $1,789 and will start shipping in October.
