			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dell has unveiled the Dual NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX upgrade kit for existing XPS M1730 laptop buyers who have configured their notebooks with cheap GPUs, such as the 8700M GT.</p>
<p>The video card can be purchased from official Dell site, as a stand-alone part, or with an installation service for users that don’t want to install the GPU themselves. Dell has provided a service manual for advanced users.</p>
<p>The stand-alone 8800M GTX SLI (dual) kit, configured with 1GB of DDR3 memory and priced at $1,099.99. The stand-alone part with the installation service costs $1,218.99.</p>
<p>The Dell promise that Dual GeForce 8800M GTX boosts performance over the older Dual 8700M GT cards by up to 49%.</p>

<p>NVIDIA announced the new GeForce 9M Series.  The GeForce 9M Series is a first laptop&#8217;s graphics processors with support for a new and innovative NVIDIA Hybrid SLI technology.</p>
<p>“The new GeForce 9M notebook GPUs enable the world’s first notebooks with Hybrid SLI technology. The new technology enables two NVIDIA GPUs, one low-power and one high-performance, to work cooperatively in the same PC to deliver two features—GeForce Boost and HybridPower. These features deliver more performance from both GPUs for visual computing when needed, or save power by switching to the low-power GPU when not,” the press release says.</p>
<p>The GeForce 9M mobile video cards deliver “up to 40% faster performance than the previous generation GeForce notebook GPUs and 10x the performance of integrated graphics solutions”. NVIDIA GeForce 9M Series supports the latest Blu-Ray advancements and DVI, HDMI 1.3, Display Port 1.1, and VGA display standards.</p>
<p>NVIDIA’s 9M GPUS for “Performance and Multimedia” laptops inclcude the GeForce 9650M GS, 9600M GT, 9600M GS, 9500M GS, and GeForce 9500M G chips. </p>
