Alienware Area-51 m15x Gaming Laptop gets new CPU
Alienware has updated their high-end 15.4″ gaming laptop range by providing the Area-51 m15x with an option to configure it with new Intel’s 45nm Core 2 Extreme X9000 Mobile CPU.
Intel’s new 45nm technology infused with Hafnium technology, improved thermal management, more transistors, and Intel HD Boost allows the Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 to deliver an increase in executable instructions with less strain on the CPU.
The Alienware Area-51 m15x laptop also features option for Nvidia’s flagship discrete GPU GeForce 8800M GTX (single). The Area-51 m15x is available starting from $2149. The new X9000 chip is a $650 optional upgrade whereas the GeForce 8800M GTX GPU will set you back by another $500
